Accommodation

The gite has a large and comfortable open-plan living area with ample seating for everyone.

The fully equipped modern kitchen includes cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and ironing facilities.

Living area has electric heaters, sofa and chairs, board games, English satellite TV, DVD, radio and CD player and internet access (wi-fi). For extra guests, one of the sofas converts to a double bed.

There are two well decorated and airy loft bedrooms, one double and one twin. Each bedroom has room for a folding bed (suitable for children). 

The bright and cheerful bathroom has a shower, WC and hand wash basin.

Outside

Set in a pretty courtyard at the end of a quiet lane you will find the peace and relaxation you deserve as you enjoy privacy and the panoramic views over the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Garden furniture and barbecue are provided.

The property is on seven acres of land with plenty of room for the children to play or say hello to the ever-growing number of animals.

Maybe you will find a fresh egg for breakfast from one of the free-range chickens.

Depending on the time of year you will be able to pick cherries, apples, peaches, pears, plums, walnuts or chestnuts.

Local area

The property is ideally situated as a central base for touring and there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.

The small market towns of Gorron and Ambrières les Vallees are close by and you will find all your provisions at the supermarkets there.

The north and west coasts and Le Mans are easily accessible as a day trip.

There is a train service from Laval which takes you directly into Disneyland Paris.

A little further away is the Mont St Michel, which is a wonderful monastery built on a rock out at sea and worthy of a day out.

St Fraimbault is just around the corner and is known as the village of flowers.

Lots of the local villages have fetes throughout the summer where you can mingle with the locals and enjoy the French way of life.

There are many activities available nearby including:
an adventure park, bird watching, boating, boules, canoeing, cycling, drawing and painting, fishing, flying, go-karting, golf, horse riding, kayaking, photography, rambling, sightseeing, swimming, tennis, walking and wine tasting.
