Accommodation On the ground floor is a spacious L shaped lounge / dining area with table, chairs and a comfortable three piece suite. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, a 4-ring hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. The shower room / toilet is also on the ground floor. On the first floor is the good sized bedroom which is gallery style, overlooking the lounge. The cottage has central heating and is suitable for summer or winter lets. La Division has its own private patio area, with garden furniture, which overlooks the garden and paddocks. |

You will receive a warm, friendly welcome from the owners who will help make your stay a memorable one. They live on site just across the courtyard.
The village of Jumelles is 3km away for fresh bread and croissants each morning. The town of Longue - 10 minutes - is well serviced with several shops, bars, restaurants and a large supermarket with petrol station. Saumur, with its imposing chateau perched high above the Loire river is a 20 minute drive away. Here you will find an array of fashionable shops, restaurants and cafes and 2 excellent hypermarkets. There are open air markets in the area every day of the week selling fresh, local produce. The area is perfect for cycling and walking and also offers horse riding, karting, sailing, kayaking, golf, swimming and wind-surfing. It’s a perfect base to visit the famous chateaux of the Loire like Villandry, Chenonceaux, and more locally the less famous but no less beautiful chateaux of Langeais and Breze. Guided wine tours can also be arranged, or you can explore for yourself the vineyards of Bourgueil, Saumur Champigny, Chinon, or Vouvray. Saumur also has many sparkling wine producers, and sampling is free. La Division is 3 hours south of Paris, 3 hours from the ports of Caen and St Malo, and 5 hours from Calais. |
