The living room is decorated in a traditional way and has satellite TV and DVD player.

The Studio room also has a kitchenette with breakfast table, fridge, hob, sink, kettle, coffee machine, microwave and toaster. The Studio also has its own separate entrance.

This property is ideal for 3 generation families, 3 couples and 1-2 couples with children.

Outside there is a fenced patio and lawn with parasol, barbecue and picnic table overlooking the playing field.

Living room with exposed breams, open plan kitchen with oven, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and toaster plus UK satellite TV and DVD player.

There is also a sofa bed in the living room.

Outside there is private fenced garden with barbecue and swing over looking fields and trees.

Each gite has a fully fitted kitchen with fridge, 4-ring hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, fans, satellite television and DVD, bathroom with shower, wash basin, toilet and washing machine and bedrooms with CD player/alarm clock.

Outside

The property is set in 5 acres of fields surrounded by hedgerow.

The shared pool is warmed by a heat pump and regardless of the weather, will heat the water to above 26° between May - September.

There is a child safety alarm on the gate and in the pool.

The pool area is completely fenced.

On the hot evenings we extend opening times and the pool is floodlit.

Beyond the swimming pool is the wood. Under the trees we have three brick barbecues, picnic tables and slung across the trees are some hammocks.

There is also another smaller picnic area with hammock and barbecue at the bottom of the playing field.

Once a week, weather permitting, we organise a paella or barbecue evening. It’s a time where guests can get to talk to each other and swap ideas about the best sights, beaches and restaurants.

The outside play area has swings, slide and a sand pit.

Our ping-pong table and pool table are situated under cover in the barn as is our new under 6s play area with bricks, puzzles, Duplo and table and chairs for some serious drawing.

Darts and boules are also available.

The games field has badminton, paddle tennis and a five-a-side pitch.

Local area

The local corner shop is within walking distance.

There is a restaurant, bar and bakeries in the adjacent village of Nuille d’Aunis.

Many of the region's attractions, museums, sights, beaches and islands are all within a short drive from us.

The historic port of La Rochelle on the sunny west coast of France is 15 minutes away.

Chatelaillon-Plage - 12 miles - with a 3km stretch of golden sand is located south of La Rochelle and offers a magnificent view of the coast and the islands.

Minimes - 12 miles - has a sandy beach with an attractive coastal walk over looking the sea. There is also a marina with 3500 boats and numerous restaurants and bars.

The Ile de Ré - 15 miles - offers many sandy beaches inter-linked by cycle paths.

The nearest golf course is 10 minutes away at La Jarne. Other courses nearby are at Marsilly (20 minutes), Les Portes en Ré (30 minutes) and Niort (40 minutes).

The nearest airport is at La Rochelle a 15 minute drive away.

The ferry ports are St Malo (3 - 4 hours), Cherbourg (5 - 6 hours) and Boulogne and Calais at between 6 and 7 hours.
