Accommodation Each apartment has its own entrance, a well-equipped kitchen, one or two bedrooms, shower and WC. The kitchens are equipped with a dishwasher, microwave with oven, fridge and quality pans and cutlery. There is a washing machine available for guests use. Outside is a large garden with picnic tables, barbecues and beach mats. The ground floor apartment patios are fenced for privacy.

Local area Saint Palais-sur-Mer is a seaside village with character. In summer Saint Palais-sur-Mer becomes a very popular and lively resort, with lots of entertainment and numerous activities. Here you will find both small, cosy beaches and the Grand Cote, a beach that stretches for miles. The apartments are very close to the sea (100 yards) and near the vast Foręt de la Coubre. A mild climate makes Saint Palais also very suitable for spring or autumn holidays and weekend breaks. As the countryside surrounding Saint Palais is reasonably flat, it is very suitable for cycling and walking. There are many trails both along the coast and inland. There are several interesting islands near Saint Palais, including Ile d’Oleron, Ile de Re, and Ile d’ Aix. Golf - ‘Golf de Royan’ an 18-hole course is 500m from the apartments. La Rochelle has an attractive old port and huge aquarium. Bordeaux has many museums and endless possibilities for shopping. Royan has a huge port and market where fish is always fresh. Near Saint Palais there are oyster farms selling oysters and offering guided tours. Fishing - there are opportunities for both sea fishing - 150 metres from the apartments off the rocks and the beach - or freshwater fishing from the shores of a lake. In La Palmyre there is a large zoo, one of the most attractive in France. |
