Location Between the villages of La Lande St Léger and Beuzeville, the house is just a thirty five minute drive from the ferry port of Le Havre, alternatively you can come via Caen which is one hour by car (served by Brittany Ferries). An excellent base for exploring Normandy, Paris is two hours by car up the A13 motorway. Local seaside resorts are as follows: Deauville and Trouville (30 minutes) which both have excellent sandy beaches, restaurants and shops. Other local towns of interest include the ancient fishing port of Honfleur (25 minutes) which has excellent seafood restaurants and boat trips to view the Pont de Normandie. Pont L’Eveque is also worth visiting and is famous for cheese, and the Calvados spirit which is distilled there. Slightly further afield the D-Day landing beaches are accessible at Arromanches and beyond. |
