"The Taste of the Ocean" Festival -
Scallops and Sea-Shanties

Festival "Le Gout du Large" - Fete de la Coquille Saint Jacques et Festival de Chants de Marins d'Europe
The 6th Edition of the two-day festival celebrating maritime tradition in the number 1 fishing port of Calvados and the 8th in France: Port-en-Bessin. This is the festival of European sea-shanties, with sales and tasting of seafood, guided tours of the fishing trawlers and the shipyards, demonstrations of net reparing and the art of marine knots. The local restaurants are offering seafood menus, concentrating on the world-famous "coquilles St Jacques". Entertainment is based on one theme only: the sea.
Saturday and Sunday, come and listen to Dutch, Irish and French musical groups under the big top.

Skiing in the Pyrenees
