This gite is accessed by an outside staircase and is not recommended for the very elderly or very young.
Each gite is equipped with:
Cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, coffee maker, toaster, comprehensive cutlery and crockery, TV/DVD player, fans, bed linen, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, electric heating, high chair,
games and books.
Pool and gardens
Both gites overlook the south-facing 10m x 5m solar heated pool which is walled and gated, providing a peaceful sun-trap.
The pool is surrounded by lawned areas ideal for playing cricket, rounders, football or practising golf.
Local area
Yzeures - 1km - has a comprehensive supermarket and smaller shops. There are also tennis courts, table tennis and an outward bound course.
La Roche Posay - 5 minutes - is a beautiful old spa town perched above the river, famous for its healing water, skin-care products and relaxing therapies. It offers visitors golf, restaurants, bars,
horse riding, a casino, discotheque, a horse racing course and local market on Tuesdays.
Five minutes east of the gites is the Natural Wildlife Park of the Brenne with its visitor centres, tucked-away restaurants and panoramic views over the lakes.
La Vieille Forge is situated in the Indre-et-Loire, close to the departments of Indre and Vienne. All three departments offer a fabulous range of beautiful towns and different activities.
The beautiful rivers La Creuse, La Gartempe, La Vienne and La Claise are all close by and offering boat hire, canoeing and fishing.
