	Two properties in the small rural village of Le Rocher close to Chalus, on the Richard the Lionheart Route, near Limoges. The houses are set in large grounds and the larger house has a private pool.

Large house accommodation

Entrance hall leading to downstairs shower room with basin, toilet and power shower.

The living area has stairs to the 1st floor and comprises dining table seating 12 people, 3 piece suite, real wood burning fire, TV (Satellite with English channels) DVD and video player.

A second living area with cane furniture and table with 4 chairs.

A well-equipped kitchen with breakfast table seating 8 people, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle and cooker with hob.

First floor

Three double bedrooms, each with a double bed and storage space.

Fourth bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds (totalling 4 single beds).

The bathroom on this floor has wash basin, bath and toilet.

This house has a private pool and shares its land with the small house.

Small house accommodation

This house is entered through the kitchen at the back, which has breakfast bar, oven with hob, fridge, microwave, toaster and electric kettle.

Living / dining area with bed settee (double), satellite TV, DVD player and large dining table.

First floor

Double bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Single bedroom with wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Bathroom with toilet, wash basin and bath.

This house has an outside sun terrace.

Outside

Both houses have barbecues and outside areas to eat, rest or play.

There is the use of a laundry room with washing machine (a charge of 5 Euros for each use).

Both houses have the use of the outside play area and large grounds with table tennis table, badminton nets, goal posts and swing ball.

Local area

Le Rocher is a small rural village close to Chalus, south of Limoges.

The local bar, restaurant, butchers and bakery are all within a mile of the houses.

A cycle track nearby leads to the next villages and also to a small goat farm.

Richard the Lionheart was killed at Chalus (10km) whilst laying siege to Chalus Castle.

Limoges - 20km - has so much history having been destroyed and rebuilt 5 times since it was founded in 16BC.

Oradour Sur Glane - 40km - the village that has been left untouched since June 1944 when the village’s 642 inhabitants were brutally murdered.

There are many local lakes for swimming or fishing. The main lakes are at St-Estephe, St Mathieu, St Saud, Videix, Bussiere-Galant, St-Laurent-sur-Gorre, Flavignac, Busserolles and Marval.
