Accommodation

The open plan ground floor has a kitchen area with microwave, gas cooker with oven, fridge, washing machine and is well stocked with china, cutlery and cooking utensils.

The dining table seats six.

There is a 3-piece suite, CD player, satellite TV and a wood burning fire.

Stairs lead to a good size landing area with a lovely view of the open countryside.

Upper floors

Double bedroom.

Modern bathroom with shower unit with WC.

Further stairs lead to:

2 single bedrooms and the other double bedroom.

A cot is available on request. Duvet and pillows are provided. A bed linen hire service is available if required.

During the winter months the bedrooms are heated by electric radiators, whilst the wood burning fire keeps the downstairs cosy.

Note: we are ‘on-site’ but this does not mean ‘in sight’. We will greet you on arrival and will respect your right to privacy during your holiday. You will see as much or as little of us as you wish.

Local area

Les Ages is a small commune of 8 houses in the Parc Naturel Regional, Perigord-Limousin.

Oradour Sur Vayres - 2km - has 2 boulangeries, a charcuterie, supermarket, pharmacy, bank, 2 doctors, post office, clothes and shoe shops, tabac, bars and restaurants.

St Mathieu (10 minutes) and Videix (20 minutes) are two of the many lakes that have been landscaped and have beach areas and facilities for bathing, water sports, picnic and play areas.

There are local markets and fairs and throughout the summer months music festivals, folk evenings, concerts, guided tours of porcelain factories and the sampling of local liquers at distilleries.

St Junien - 25 minutes - is a town specialising in leather gloves and goods.

Limoges - 40 minutes - has so much history having been destroyed and rebuilt 5 times since it was founded in 16BC.

Oradour Sur Glane - 40 minutes - the village that has been left untouched since June 1944 when the village’s 642 inhabitants were brutally murdered.
