Villa La Favette is a beautifully restored maison de vigneron (wine maker’s house) with swimming pool offered for holiday rent on a self catering basis.
The property is set in 4000m2 grounds in a secluded location, bordered by vineyards to the front and the River Aude to the rear.

Only 5 minutes to local shops and 5km from the historic town of Narbonne.

	The house has a private pool and large south facing terraces. Carcassonne, Perpignan and Montpellier airports are within 60 minutes drive, Gerona and Toulouse within 2 hours drive. Ryanair, BMIbaby, flyBe and Easy Jet all fly to one or more of these airports.

Accommodation:

Ground floor

Spacious open plan living room with oak beams and wood burning stove. Furnished with classic rustic antique furniture, including a dining table and 10 chairs and leather sofas. Television, satellite (BBC and CNN channels), video cassette player and CD are also included. Doors lead onto the front terrace and overlook the neighbouring vineyard.

Kitchen: well equipped kitchen with a fan oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridges.

Utility room: housing a washing machine, fridge, freezer, ironing board and iron.

Shower room.

First floor

5 Bedrooms: 3 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms.
Family bathroom.

Outside

To the front and side of the house is a large south facing terrace, with a range of patio furniture and a large table and chairs, and the private swimming pool, measuring approx. 11m x 5 m, with a small pool house containing a small fridge.
The swimming pool terrace has a built in hi-fi system and can be floodlit for evening use.
To the rear of the house is the garden with a range of fruit trees with the River Aude bordering.

There is a large garage with several games stored, including a 1/4 size snooker table, table football and dartboard.

Location

The house is in a peaceful location and only 1.5km from the nearest town, which has a range of shops.
Narbonne, with its historical centre and the Cathedrale de St Just is 5km away.
Beziers - 20km.
The house is ideally located for touring Cathar country and the Minervois and Corbiere wine making regions.
The beaches of the Mediterranean are only 15km away.
Other attractions within an hour’s drive include the African Reserve at Sigean, the Haut Languedoc National Park, the medieval town of Pezenas and the Lake Salagou.
The Pyrenees and the picturesque ports of Collioure and Port Vendres to the South in just over an hour’s drive. To the north east, the harbours at Meze and Marseillan provide the opportunity to watch the ‘jousting’ in July, and to sample the local seafood.
