Accommodation The sun-filled dining room has a sofa bed that sleeps two, a table to seat four comfortably, a desk, a wardrobe, a TV with English channels, a CD and DVD player, wireless internet access and a telephone with local and national calls free of charge (except to cell phones). The kitchen is well equipped and includes a microwave, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a large refrigerator/freezer. The bedroom has a queen size bed, a chest of drawers and two bedside tables. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, shower, two sinks, a toilet and plenty of storage room. |

The apartment building The marble lobby has exposed wooden ceilings and large picture windows. Two concierges and an access code ensure good security. Bilingual assistance available on site. The Charras mall is on the ground floor with a supermarket, many restaurants, cafés, and shops. Also on the ground floor of the building is an international news stand, as well as a boulangerie, and the municipal swimming pool, featuring a sauna, solarium, volley ball, ice skating and bowling facilities. The area The apartment is in a lively neighbourhood with sports facilities, a 16-screen cinema, a host of shops, theatres, cultural venues, restaurants, bars, cafés, and indoor and outdoor markets. The métro line goes directly into the centre of Paris. La Défense is at the western end of Paris' Historical Axis, which starts at the Louvre museum and takes in the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe. The district is named for the statue, La Défense de Paris, which was built in commemoration of the defence of Paris during the 1870 Franco-Prussian War. |

The most famous landmark in La Défense is La Grande Arche, a monument dedicated to humanity and humanitarian ideals which was inaugurated in 1989. The roof section is an exhibition centre, and offers impressive views of Paris. Another must-see is the Centre of New Industries and Technologies (CNIT), an architectural landmark. The district has over 60 hectares of parkland, gardens, squares, shaded plazas, and terraces. Les Quatre Temps, the largest shopping centre in Europe, features over 200 shops. The church of Notre Dame de Pentecôte offers extra calm and culture. |
