	Former fisherman’s cottage to rent on the Gâvres Peninsula in the department of the Morbihan, Brittany, North West France.

The Gâvres Peninsula, which is separated from the mainland by a strip of moorland 9km long, is surrounded by the Lorient roads to the north, the Island of Groix to the west, Quiberon and the island of Belle-île to the south and the little sea of Gâvres to the east. It is a wonderful natural reserve for wildlife.

Tiny coves, beautiful beaches, harbour and cliffs make up the coastline of the Gâvres peninsula. Reminders of the fishing activity and relics of its history are to be seen in its three harbours and breakwater. The largest of its three beaches is 7km long.

Accommodation

The cottage is comfortably furnished and fully equipped.

Lounge with television.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, gas cooker, oven and fridge/freezer.

Two bedrooms: one with a double bed, the other with a double bed and two single beds.

Bathroom.

An enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue.

Vehicles, trailer, surfboard, bikes etc. may be parked opposite the cottage in the private car park.

The area

The area offers a wide range of activities for the proficient and beginners alike - surfing, sand-yachting, sailing, canoeing, under water diving, fishing.
During July and August qualified competent personnel are on hand for overseeing these activities.

Numerous boat trips are available to:
Port-Louis - a historic town with its citadel,
Lorient - for shops, museums and places of interest,
and the islands of Groix and Belle-île.

Rentals are from Saturday 2pm until the following Saturday 12 noon.
