Accommodation
A large kitchen with fitted pine furniture, gas/electric hob, extractor fan, built-in oven, fridge/freezer, smaller fridge, dishwasher, microwave and an extensive range of kitchen utensils.
A staircase leads from there to the upstairs.
In the same open-plan room is the dining room with large central table and chairs, books and hi-fi.
The lounge area has comfortable settees, chairs, wood stove, TV (free to air satellite box and French domestic channels) and
separate DVD/video plus wireless broadband.
A door leads from here into a large en-suite bedroom (double bed) with the shower room being fitted to allow usage by a handicapped person. In turn this bedroom has access to the south veranda then to the western one.
A door leads from the lounge to the utility room with boilers for gas and central heating and hot water, deep freeze, washing machine, double sink plus ample storage space. A separate toilet is in the same area.
All areas mentioned so far are on one level to allow ease of use for people with walking difficulties, or for wheelchairs.
On the west side of the lounge is a further exit, through French windows down steps on to the west veranda that stretches the whole width of the house. On this veranda is the stone barbecue, with a long table for the whole party.
Through the winter the house is often let to just a couple, as the downstairs is self-contained and can be curtained off from the first floor to make a large cosy apartment.
However, for large groups upstairs there are four large bedrooms:
Two with double beds
One with three singles
The fourth with two single beds and 2 bunk beds.
The facilities upstairs are shared and comprise:
One bathroom with hand basin
One shower room with basin and toilet
Separate toilet.
All bedrooms are furnished with light, clean pine furniture, large wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Bed linen, kitchen towels and tea towels are provided, but personal and pool towels are not (these can be provided for a small fee if travelling by air).
All products for the dishwasher and
washing machine are provided, together with toilet rolls and cleaning materials.
