La Petite Grange

Ideally suited for two people, La Petite Grange is a one bedroom, newly renovated gite set over two floors.

The open plan ground floor has a well-equipped lounge with a TV (English and French channels) and DVD/CD player.

La Grange

Ideally suited for up to five people, La Grange has a wealth of charm with exposed beams and stonework and quarry tiled floors.

The spacious, open plan layout has a lounge with TV (English and French channels)and DVD/CD player.

The well-equipped kitchen and dining area has an electric cooker, fridge and microwave.

The main bedroom has a double bed.

The second bedroom is furnished with 2 single sleigh beds.

La Belle Grange

Our recent renovation La Belle Grange is our most spacious gite and is ideal for 2 families or one large family wanting some space.

There is an open plan kitchen and dining area which has a very practical work island dividing the two. There is an electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher.

There is a lounge area with TV (English and French channels)and DVD/CD player.

Ground floor double bedroom with en suite shower room/WC. The bedroom has French doors leading out onto the private terrace.

Also on the ground floor is a separate WC.

First floor

Double bedroom.

Family bedroom with twin beds and a double sofabed.

There is a family bathroom with bath and shower above, basin and WC.

Communal areas

There is a main reception area for all guests to enjoy. Providing you with a play area for the children with various toys, games and books available, along with plenty of information regarding the local area, including maps.

All guests have access to the large enclosed gardens, sun-deck and pool.

The south facing and sun drenched gardens overlooking the Pyrénées are there for everyone to enjoy. There is a trampoline with safety net and children’s swings and slides.

The gardens measure 2500 sq m with a 60 sq m pool deck and 9.5m x 4.5m pool. The pool has a depth of 1.32m.

The sun-deck and pool area is shared with the owner and other guests and it offers a perfect sun-trap with uninterrupted views of the mountains.

There is a laundry room, which you are welcome to use. The room has a washing machine and tumble drier.

Local area

Our charming gîtes are located in the pretty farming village of Ance with many local walks leading you up hills to breathtaking panoramas of the mountains and through woods and along rivers.

Les Granges is 10 minutes from the local market town of Oloron Ste Marie, which has a beautiful cathedral and the main Gave d'Oloron running through it. There are many restaurants and shops and the local market runs on Friday mornings.

Les Granges makes a great base. The gîtes are situated less than an hour from Pau, the capital of the Bearn region.

There are a wealth of local activities, ideal for all ages, you can enjoy cycling, walking, fishing, swimming, climbing, parapenting, horse riding, quad biking, kayaking, skiing and lots more.

The scenery is stunning with the mountains and trees and waterfalls and the birds of prey soaring the skies.

Skiing   The nearest ski station of La Pierre St Martin is situated 30 minutes drive away, a bus is available at weekends and French school holidays. Ski hire is available locally. Other accessible ski stations are Gourette, Artouste, Somport and a little further a field in Spain, Astun.

Fishing The famous Gaves d’Oloron, d’Ossau and d’Aspe are all close by, offering good trout and salmon fishing. Licenses are available locally.

Golf The renowned Pau Golf Club is less than an hour’s drive away and is apparently the oldest Golf Club in mainland Europe.
Artiguelouve, the newer course, offers a challenging, flat course and also has stunning views of the mountains.
Salies de Bearn, about 45 minutes drive away offers a 12 hole course.

Horse riding Riding in the Pyrenees is a unique experience. The riding centre at nearby Lanne en Baretous offers something for riders of all abilities.

Biarritz beach is a stunning beach, popular with surfers situated just an hour and a half, or try out the beaches at the chic St Jean de Luz – a great day out.

November to April bookings exclude electric and will be charged at cost.

An end of stay cleaning fee is payable with the final balance and will be used if the property has not been cleaned.
Les Granges = £150, La Belle Grange = £100, La Grange = £75 and La Petite Grange = £60
If you chose to do the end of stay clean yourself on departure, the cleaning fee will be refunded with your deposit.
